There in the
bright light she stood,
Her shadow
following as close as it could,
She said, “I’ll
follow this path,
It’ll lead
me home to my bath,
You’d have
one too, if you could,”
“Oh, no,”
said her shadow with a sigh,
“I’ll never
take a bath, here’s why,
I’d be so
clear when clean,
That I’d
never ever be seen,
So I’d
rather be dirty and dry.”

and the shadow remains dark to this day… all for want of a bathe.. (makes me itch to give mine a spring clean now Dan ) xPenx
You’ve got several winter months before you have to bathe…and if the groundhog sees his shadow you’ll get a six week reprieve. No baths needed yet. However…..I prefer living on the clean side and not in the shadows. On another note–your poem “Thought Control” reminded me to start posting a novel I wrote many years ago, I’ve been editing and discovering how badly I wrote then. My works still need much editing but I have improved. Tonight or tomorrow I will post the first two or three pages Feel free to suggest changes or telling me I’m wasting my time. I have appreciated your comments on my poems. Dan
May the sun be on your face and the wind at your back as the Lord blesses you throughout the day. Carpe diem!
I’m on the shadow’s side…….!
Yeah. Enjoy life. Play in the mud. Have fun. Thanks for commenting.
I like this one…. and agree with the shadow, ’tis much better to be dirty and seen than invisible and clean 😀
